How to Use:

Light the sage bundle with a lighter or match. Once the tip is well lit, gently blow out the flame while keeping the smoke active.

Place the sage in a heat-resistant bowl – shamanic tradition uses an abalone shell for various energetic and lithotherapeutic reasons, but in our regions, a more local natural object like a flat stone or a slate slab is preferred. If you hold it in your hand, be sure to hold a container underneath with your other hand.

Ideally, let the bundle burn completely.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.

Strictly do not swallow; this is not culinary sage! Avoid inhaling the smoke directly.

Place the bundle or stick in a suitably sized incense burner on a flat, unwaxed, unvarnished surface, away from drafts.
