Unlike other mats, on which you slip more quickly when your hands and feet are wet, this microfibre surface is designed to give you more grip when your hands and feet are slightly damp. This makes it ideal for people who sweat quickly.
The velvet yoga mat is also perfect for you if you practise a rather leisurely style of yoga where you don't sweat and/or if your hands and feet tend to be cold and dry, but slip resistance is not an absolute priority.
If you're looking for a very non-slip yoga mat and you tend to have dry, cold hands and feet or practise in socks, this yoga mat is not for you. In this case, we recommend you choose a mat from the SuperGrip range.

If the carpet gets dirty, you can wipe it gently with a damp cloth (with a soft surface), then leave it to dry.
We recommend washing the carpet more gently by hand, but if you wish to wash it mechanically, please note the following points:
- Maximum temperature of 30° C
- Wash in the delicate cycle (low drum rotation, no spinning).
- Use a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener.
- Leave the yoga mat to dry in the shade in a well-ventilated area.
