Malas are a type of rosary used in Buddhism and Hinduism. They help practitioners to repeat their mantras by focusing their mind on the present moment. The beads are used one by one to recite the sacred words.
Made from Rudraksha beads, this mala bracelet will bring you energy and positive vibes. The Rudraksha bead is actually a seed harvested from the Rudraksha tree. Elaeocarpus angustifolius. The smaller it is, the rarer and more energy-giving it is.
In many cultures, this pearl is considered sacred, bringing peace, clarity and guidance to the wearer.
This bracelet is made up of 29 Rudraksha beads and finished with a 9.25 sterling silver bead. This silver bead is inlaid with the symbol Aum (or Om). In Sanskrit, the syllable Aum is considered to be the original sound. In yoga, the sound Om is sometimes recited during the session for its virtues for the body. As well as causing the vocal cords to vibrate, it allows you to empty your lungs completely and create a renewal of air in your chest cavity.
- Find a quiet spot and sit down comfortably.
- Fill a container with water. Place a few flowers in it before adding your bracelet.
- To further relax your body and mind, light a stick of incense.
- Once you have achieved serenity, clean each of the Rudraksha and silver beads. As you do so, visualise your intentions and transmit them to the beads so that they bring you protection and energy.
- Recite the mantra "OM HREEM NAMAH SHIVAYA OM", representing Shiva's tears.
- Your mala bracelet is ready to be worn and to bring you its virtues.
Over time, your mala bracelet will absorb energy. You can wash it to discharge it and reset it. To do this
- Place your collar under running tap water
- Touch each pearl with the intention of cleaning it
- Hang your bracelet outside to dry.
- Each pearl can then be massaged with a little natural oil.
The Aum symbol plays an important role in the practice of yoga. So it's always a good idea to wear it symbolically.
While gold is associated with the sun through its luminous colour, silver is associated with the moon. Because of its cold colour, it has come to represent gentleness and purity. By extension, in many beliefs, silver was the symbol of the goddesses of femininity, purity and fertility.
In addition to these representations, silver is known to multiply the effects of other stones with which it is associated.
