Kalimba | 10 to 17 notes
Kalimbas are instruments with sonorous 'tongues' that originated in southern Africa, where they are found in countless shapes and models, sometimes called thumb pianos. It's a melodious, sweet-sounding instrument that fills the space around you with heavenly sound. The traditional resonance hole on this kalimba produces warmer sounds and longer sustain.
Ideal for use in sound therapy, meditation and yoga, you can have fun with it even without any prior musical education. On these models, the 10 or 17 notes of the C major complement each other, without ever creating a false note.
The 10-note model is made from a hollow mahogany body with a matt surface, while the 17-note model is made from high-quality maple and acacia wood with a lacquer finish.
Whether you're a music beginner or a professional, a child or an adult, you can have fun creating your own unique sounds, easily and intuitively, and make progress through discovery.
