Yoga Styles

There are many approaches to yoga. Some are dynamic — often grouped under the term Yang — and include Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow, or Ashtanga yoga. Others are gentler and more introspective — Yin practices — such as Yin yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, or Slow Motion Aerial Yoga.

Yin and Yang yoga styles are complementary. In a balanced practice, we alternate between the two to fully benefit from the effects of yoga: vitality, strength, flexibility, serenity, and mental clarity.

Whether you are a beginner or experienced, and whatever your physical condition, yoga offers multiple benefits. We invite you to discover the styles below, their specificities, and the type of apparel & equipment that will best accompany your practice.

Yang Yoga

Hatha Yoga

A traditional practice that combines postures (asanas), breathing (pranayama), and relaxation. It is accessible to all and helps build strength, balance, and concentration.

Vinyasa Flow

A fluid sequence of postures synchronized with the breath, with a faster pace than Hatha. It is a dynamic style that builds strength and endurance.

Ashtanga Yoga

A precise sequence of postures practiced in a defined order, with an intense rhythm and high physical demand. Ideal for those seeking a structured discipline.

  • Recommended apparel: very breathable and fitted clothing to avoid any discomfort, supportive bra for women.
  • Useful equipment: thin and firm yoga mat, possibly two blocks and a strap for beginners.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga

Postures held for several minutes, targeting deep tissues and fascia. This introspective and meditative practice develops mobility and flexibility, patience, and letting go.

Restorative Yoga

A deeply relaxing practice where the body is supported by props to promote total relaxation and recovery.

  • Recommended apparel: soft, warm, and loose-fitting clothing, comfortable socks.
  • Useful equipment: plush yoga mat, eye pillow, bolsters, blankets, cushions, blocks, and strap to support all parts of the body and relax completely.

Slow Motion Aerial Yoga

An aerial yoga practiced slowly, where gravity and fluidity unite. Somatic movements, breathing, and gentle stretches open the inner space and soothe the nervous system.

  • Recommended apparel: soft and comfortable clothing to accompany movements, rather close-fitting; you might prefer long legs and sleeves.
  • Useful equipment: special professional hammock, comfortable yoga mat. A blanket, block, and bolster can pleasantly complement the hammock’s support.

Yoga Nidra

Also called “sleep yoga”, it is practiced lying down and guided by the teacher’s voice to reach a state of deep relaxation.

  • Recommended apparel: comfortable and warm clothes, suitable for remaining still for 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Useful equipment: rather thick mat or floor mattress, blanket under the head and bolster under the knees for maximum comfort, eye pillow.

Myofascial Self-Massage

Gentle technique using special therapeutic balls to release muscle tension and knots, promote fascia health, improve mobility, and stimulate circulation.

  • Recommended apparel: comfortable, breathable outfits that do not hinder movement or access to areas to be massaged (leggings, sports bras, tank tops).
  • Useful equipment: Yoga Tune Up® balls or therapeutic balls, mat or yoga towel for floor movements.
