The Moon velvet yoga mat is the essential yoga accessory for all yogis and yoginis who don't want to take up too much space. The mat folds and rolls up so it can easily be stored in a bag or suitcase. It's ultra-light and made with a non-slip surface suitable for all styles of yoga.
The design of the Moon rug is a series of inspiring motifs that reflect the cycles of the moon.
Underneath, it's made from durable (biodegradable) natural rubber, a highly non-slip surface that ensures good grip on the ground.
The top of the mat is made from a special microfibre material (like velvet), which gives a velvety soft feel.
This carpet is free from PVC, silicone and phthalates.
Unlike other mats where you slip quickly when your hands and feet are wet, this microfibre surface is designed to give you more grip when your skin is slightly damp. This makes it ideal for people who sweat quickly or for the following dynamic yoga styles: Bikram yoga, power yoga, hot yoga.
If you frequently do upside-down dog pose and your hands and feet tend to sweat, velvet yoga mats will be wonderful for you.
However, if your skin remains dry during your yoga practice or if you practice in socks, this type of mat is not recommended. In these cases, we recommend the SuperGrip range.
If stains appear on the carpet, gently wipe with a damp cloth, then leave to dry.
Hand washing is recommended. If you still wish to machine wash the carpet, please note the following points:
- Wash at a maximum of 30° C
- Use delicate cycle (low drum rotation, no spinning)
- Use a mild detergent. Do not use fabric softener.
- Lay out your yoga mat in the shade in an airy place
